Libraries

A national, parliamentary and research library, a library research and development centre, and a cultural centre hosting exhibitions, concerts, theatrical performances and conferences. The librarys slogan is Storing knowledge to share it with you.

ELA is an umbrella organisation for library institutions and librarians from different libraries (close to 800 members) in Estonia. Sections and working groups at the ELA enable to contribute to the development of the field of librarianship.

Consortium of ELNET unites 13 university-, museum- and city libraries. Main projects are e-catalogue ESTER, article database ISE and joint acquisition of electronic scientific information.

ECLC is an information, training and research centre for childrens literature. It has a childrens library, a childrens literature treasury and illustration gallery. The centre organizes nationwide and local events.
